17000 starts with 1700 initially ....

India is a land known for its agrarian. lately this tradition is totally up rooted. there was a resent post in a daily portal 'the hindu' which stated that there was about 17000 farm sucides n yet there seems to have no action taken by the government to reduce the farm suicides. India who was once a great exporter is importing to serve its need.
I switched on the tv today, was browsing thru the channels .. n was totally shocked seeing a program in doordharshan. As far as i know this channel played mainly about agriculture n various farm practices. Today there was a program and seeing it i was totally amused, the program was all about programming with c language. wat can i say, everybody is so much concerned about this growing it industry and wants to be a part of the growth. They hardly look beyond. India has no wonder taken the first place in global outsourcing, but has lost its position in many other industries. There was also one other news that distracted many attention .. tcs firing 1000 employees and ibm firing 700 employees .. they are only fired from their occupation means they can always find another job to make their living. Everyone seem to be concerned about this 10% of the employees, when compared to 17000 suicides in one other industry which India once rocked.
10 yrs back agriculture was the industry which earned india the maximum revenue and because of the of the growing other IT companies other industries such as the agriculture is not concentrated and if a new industry is gonna come up with a lot of revenue. mind u folks get ready to walk the plank ..
